Back issues of Earth Sciences History are available for purchase in the following formats:

Online Access

Our partner site has the complete journal (including the current volume) online. This includes a freely searchable contents of all issues; and the Editorials, Book Reviews, Interesting Publications and similar items may also be accessed at no charge.

Research articles may be downloaded for $10 each.

Alternatively, an online subscription entitles the HESS member to complete access to all back content for the duration of the online subscription (but if membership lapses, access would only be maintained to those volumes published during the year(s) of online membership). Rates for online access for 2008 are $50 (individual members) and $80 (institutional subscribers). You may subscribe from the partner site or from our membership page.


Print Copies

Individual issues are available for purchase.

- list of issues you wish to purchase
- shipping address
- check/money order in US dollars, made payable to HESS, for the correct amount (see table below).
If you wish to pay by credit card, please email Emma Rainforth; you will receive an email invoice from treasurer@historyearthscience.org via PayPal; follow the links to pay for your order. (You do not need to be a PayPal member to do so, and it is a secure transaction.) US/Canada users may purchase the complete run here.
